
Mike Buck
Retired Labor & Employment Attorney
Mike Buck is a retired labor and employment lawyer. After a clerkship with the late Honorable David S. Porter, United States Senior District Judge (S.D. Ohio), Mike joined Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan and Aronoff in 1985 in the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group. He became a partner in the firm in 1991 and led the Labor and Employment Group as its Chair from 2003 through 2017. His practice involved the representation of employers in the areas of collective bargaining, union relations, employment discrimination litigation, wage/hour litigation, trade secret rights litigation and non-compete enforcement. In the course of his practice Mike represented many publicly traded and private entities, private equity funds, venture funds and other employers in acquisitions, dispositions and related ownership transactions, as well as the integration of workforces after such transactions. He received his B.A. in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Wright State University and his J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law. He served as Student Articles Editor of the University of Toledo College of Law Law Review. Mike retired from the practice of law in 2019.
